A streak you can miss a day of

Burn keeps a longest streak and a target window streak, marks seven milestones as you pass them, and gives you two Streak Freezes a month for the days life gets in the way.

Freezes are consumed automatically. You do not have to remember to spend one, and one missed day does not erase two months of work.

The ladder

Seven milestones, spaced to stay reachable

The gaps widen as the streak grows, so the next marker is never months away at the start.

Reached milestones are ticked and carry their own marker. The ones ahead show how many days are left to reach them.

Streak Freezes

Two a month, spent for you

Freezes exist so an unavoidable day does not end the run.

HOW MANY

Two per month

Your allowance resets on the first of each month. The Streak Details screen shows how many are available and how many you have used.

HOW THEY WORK

Consumed automatically

There is nothing to tap. Miss a day and a freeze covers it, so you find out the streak survived rather than having to protect it in advance.

WHAT THEY COVER

A missed day, without losing the streak

That is the whole scope of a freeze. Your fast history is unchanged by it, and every fast you did complete is still recorded at the length it reached.

Why a streak at all

Consistency is the thing worth measuring

A streak measures consistency, which is the one thing a single fast cannot show you. Which pattern a person can sustain matters more than which is theoretically optimal, and that is drawn from peer-reviewed research and traced in our evidence policy.

A completed fast counts, whatever its length

A 14:10 day counts the same as a 20:4 day. The streak measures whether you showed up, not how far you pushed.

Two streak records, kept separately

Longest Streak counts consecutive days with a completed fast. Target Window Streak counts the days you hit your goal length. Both sit in your twelve personal records with the dates they ran.

Visible next to everything else

The current streak sits in Insights alongside completion rate and average duration, so consistency is read next to the rest of the picture.

A streak is a record, not a reason to keep going

Stop and eat if you feel unwell, whatever the number says. A freeze covers a day you cannot fast, and ending a fast early is recorded honestly rather than penalized.

Your history stays yours

Streaks, milestones and records are stored on your device, synchronized through iCloud if you enable it, and exportable as CSV at any time.
