HOME / FEATURES / JOURNAL
A calendar of days, weeks and months, with every fast, weight entry, drink and check-in on the day it happened. Tap any date to see what you actually did.
Editable after the fact, so a fast you forgot to start still ends up in the record.
Three zoom levels
The same history, read at three distances. One tap switches between them.
DAYS
A month grid with completed days shaded by the stage they reached. Tap a date for its fasts, its Body Score, its check-ins and its weight entry.
WEEKS
One row per week, each with total time fasted, the number of fasts, your completion rate and a score for the week. A week reads as a single line you can compare against the ones above and below it.
MONTHS
The third tab pulls back further again. A single fast tells you little; a run of months tells you whether this works for you.
A day, in full
A day can hold more than one fast, and the day total adds them up. Each one carries the plan it ran on, the time it started, how it went against your goal, and your own rating out of five.
A 16 hour 15 minute fast on a 16:8 plan reads as 100% of goal. The same length on an 18:6 would not, and the record says so.
A star rating on each entry, so a hard 16 hours and an easy 16 hours are distinguishable when you look back at what actually worked.
Check-in chips sit under the fasts, and your weight entry and Weight Trend under those. One screen covers the whole day.
Fixing the record
A history that cannot be corrected stops being worth keeping. Open any past fast and its Fast Details sheet holds the duration, the stage it reached and whether it met your goal, with everything below that editable.
TIMING
Started and Ended each carry their own date and time, so a fast you began before opening the app can be set to when it really started.
RATING, NOTES, ENERGY
A star rating, a notes field, Energy Level and Mood each on a five step scale, an optional weight, and a photo of the meal you broke the fast with.
Beyond the fasts
The Journal is where the rest of the day is logged, so a rough week has a record you can look back at rather than a vague memory of feeling off.
Set the daily figure yourself. Hydration also feeds your Body Score.
Logged as daily totals next to your water, which matters most on the fasts that run past 24 hours.
Blood Levels holds ketones and glucose in mmol/l as daily averages, alongside a Body Measurements card. Burn stores the numbers you record; it does not estimate them.
Your Journal is stored on your device, synchronized through iCloud if you enable it, and exportable as CSV at any time. Burn does not sell your data.
Read the privacy policy →The Journal holds what you logged and the stage each fast reached on the clock. Body Score is a Burn product score, not a health or metabolic score, and Burn does not measure ketosis, autophagy, or metabolic state.
Every fast you finish lands in the Journal, on the day it happened, editable whenever you need it.
